If there’s anything you should have picked up by now, it’s that there is a multitude of ways we can reach people.

Some people learn more quickly, depending on how the content is being delivered.

Today, every church should be using digital screens to assist with sharing their message, whether it’s a projector or just TV’s in the foyer.

Too many people are visual learners for us not to present everything we can in an attractive visual way.

The lyrics for the songs that are sung. Promos for upcoming events. Maybe even videos of announcements instead of someone taking just a bit too much time talking about it from the front.

Occasionally I send out premade slides to be presented in local churches to help inform them about conference events, but you could also use it to promote potlucks or service projects, anything your church is doing!

Even if it was announcements in PowerPoint or Keynote, you could set it to repeat and just let it run during the announcement time or between Sabbath school and worship.

There are some better options out there too. Proclaim is purpose-built church presentation software and does have built-in features that make putting beautiful announcement slides together easy. They even have a digital display function that allows you to create rotating slides, and all you need to tap into that slide carousel is a Smart TV connected to the internet or a mini PC connected to a standard TV.

You use the TV’s web browser and voila, instant foyer announcements without running extra wires.

There are tons of tutorials on Proclaim’s website to utilize all of the features they offer, and it is absolutely worth checking out.

Like most high-quality things, Proclaim isn’t free. I suggest their annual plans or just calling them when you want to subscribe, often over the phone they throw in extras like free months of service or additional content.

With the subscription, you can add as many people as you like from your church to the presentation team, and each of them can install the software to their computers. The license is tied to the church, not the people.

Then, as each team member works on a given Sabbath presentation, someone for announcement slides, another for music and lyrics, and the presenter for the sermon, each from their town location with an internet connection, the presentation is synchronized using the included cloud service. Therefore, there’s no more swapping flash drives or trying to figure out how to send large files over email anymore; you could actually prepare for a Sabbath presentation before Sabbath.

I'll see you in the next one!
